Apple iPhone X Price in Nigeria + Specs (Updated 2020)

Apple Inc has yet again launched a new smartphone in November 13, 2017. The iPhone X which is a special device used for marking the 10th anniversary of the Apple flagship smartphone. The new smartphone can also be referred to as the iPhone 10.

iPhone X offers a bit better specs than its predecessors, including facial recognition and a larger edge-to-edge OLED display. Apple went almost bezel-less with this new smartphone and there are some new features to look forward to under the hood as well. The iPhone X smartphone comes with a 5.8-inch screen that will be showing 2436 x 1125 pixels resolution and 458ppi of pixel density.

Even with the super attractive near bezel-less display, it’s rated IP67 to ensure dust and water resistance. The display of the device is protected by an Ion-strengthened glass that is 7.7mm thick. The iPhone X is available in only two colors; black and silver.

Just like the previous iPhones, this one also doesn’t include a 3.5mm headphone jack as well but all the old buttons and ports except the home button is still there. Unlike the previous iPhones, this one comes with durable glass both on the front and back side.

The surgical-grade stainless steel is there to make sure the device does not break easily. This glass back enables the iPhone to support wireless charging. However, if you somehow break the glass back, it will probably cost you almost similar to replacing the front display.

To make sure users don’t miss the Home ID button, there are some new gestures like swiping from the button for getting to home. The display includes True Tone technology which can adjust the white balance onscreen matching with the color temperature using the advanced six-channel ambient light sensor. To make sure users can enjoy HDR titles with Dolby Vision and HDR10 right on their iPhone’s screen, it comes with HDR display.

Apple iPhone X Reviews

Design and Display

The almost bezel-free, glass design of the iPhone X is made very impressive. Although the iPhone X loses the physical Home button that many people have gotten used to, along with its fingerprint scanner, the smartphone is still very much elegant. The iPhone X device employs a glass build both in front and back and also incorporates steel edges.

The device is made both dust and water resistant because it is IP67 certifide. Talking about the display; this uses OLED technology. The iPhone X is the first iPhone to offer such. This promises awesome visuals with a resolution of 2,438 x 1,125 pixels.

Almost 460 ppi pixel density indicates you can realistically expect jaw-dropping clarity. As with every other new iPhone that launched before it, the iPhone X would run on Apple’s latest IOS version — IOS 11 — right out of the box and the device, as usual, is a single nano-SIM device.

The display on the iPhone 10 stretches from edge to edge and top to bottom, save for an awkward notch at the top of the device which houses the front-facing camera lens(es). Inside its almost all-glass exterior sits the latest (and greatest) Apple-designed mobile CPU — Apple’s A11 Bionic — assisted by an in-house designed GPU.

Those alongside 3 gigabytes of RAM and 64GB onboard storage (or 256GB for more $$) are what you’d be getting on purchasing the iPhone X. And as usual, the device doesn’t support external memory cards.

Camera

The iPhone X offers improved 12MP dual-lens camera on the rear, one wide-angle lens and one telephoto lens. Both of these lens comes with optical image stabilisation (OIS) for superb shots. The 7MP True Depth selfie camera offers a variety of new features for taking amazing selfies.

The True Depth feature also comes with Animoji, which can detect and analyze up to 50 different muscle movements and then mirror a user’s expression into 12 different Animoji. It also works for 3D tracking. The smartphone users can also include their voice and share these new emoticons via videos within messages.

The rear camera are also capable of capturing up to 4k videos at 60/30/24fps and 1080p videos at 240fps. One of these cameras is a wide-angle one with f/1.8 aperture while the telephoto lens comes with f/2.4 aperture.

The front camera is still a 7-megapixel one but with also new improvements as it is now capable of capturing images in portrait mode as well with artfully blurred background which was a feature exclusive to the rear camera only previously. Another new feature other than the Portrait Mode Selfies is the Portrait Lighting mode, which is used to take studio-quality pictures with lighting effects.

Battery

Apple did not reveal the battery size of their latest iPhone X but they said, it will last two hours longer than iPhone 7. Also a new addition to the iPhone X is the fast-charging feature, which will enable users of the device to get up to 50% charge in just 30 minutes. The iPhone X smartphone will also support wireless charging as well.

Performance and Connectivity

Apple’s latest A11 bionic chipset is said to be more powerful and smartest processor available in any of the previous iPhones and it is said to be about 70 percent faster than the older A10 Fusion. It comes with a hexa-core processor which will run the latest 3D games seamlessly on the smartphone.

Also, coupled with this, is the latest iOS 11 operating system which ships with the phone, bringing along several new features such as the replacement of the iconic Touch ID with the Face ID that lets you unlock your device using your eyes. The smartphone got a new layer of security with the implementation of the Face ID which will allow users to unlock their phones using facial recognition which is another notable feature of the TrueDepth camera.

Using the dot projectors and other sensors, the smartphone can read the geometry of your face and then compare it with the stored information secured in the A11 Bionic chip. This new A11 processor will also ensure great augmented reality experiences.

The device also features some AR focused games and apps available only in the Apple store to make the most of this AR friendly processor. The headphone jack has also been removed and there will be only two storage options for the iPhone X: 64GB and 256GB. Other notable features include: Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and 3D Touch.
